The grand vin from Jean-François Quenin, from this historic property position right on the plateau’s edge, as usual this is mostly Merlot, bit of course the seasoning here includes both Cabernets as well as Malbec (or Noir de Pressac, as it is also known) and even Carmenère. A good depth of colour in the glass here, and a nose of hedgerow fruits, especially bramble and black raspberry, with a touch of citrus and white peach freshness. The palate impresses with a very harmonious composition, with moderately powdery tannins, nicely poised acidity and a core of juicy fruit. A good result in this vintage which should see out five or ten years in the cellar. The alcohol on the label is 14%.
