« 77 % Merlot, 9 % Cabernet-Franc, 11 % Cabernet-Sauvignon, 1 % Malbec (Noir de Pressac), 2 % Carmenère, 40 hl/ha. Dichtes Purpur mit rubinroten Reflexen. Berauschendes Bouquet mit reifen Brombeeren und frischem Kirschsaft, dahinter Schokopralinen, Veilchen und Lakritze. Am eleganten Gaumen mit einer Textur wie Samt und Seide gepaart mit einer energiegeladenen Rasse, die dem Wein eini faszinierende Spannung gibt. Im aromatischen langanhaltenden Finale ein voller Korb mit Schattenmorellen, Sandelholz und tiefgründiger Mineralik. Das ist der beste Pressac, den ich je degustiert habe. Chapeau, Jean-François Quenin ! 2026-2045. »

« I’m not sure the 2019 Château De Pressac will match the 2018, but it’s certainly in the ballpark, offering a beautiful core of black raspberry, cassis, and mulled red fruits as well as notes of smoked herbs, chocolate, and flowery incense. Spicy, medium to full-bodied, exceedingly elegant, and balanced, it’s a wonderful, layered 2019 that will have plenty of upfront appeal yet evolve nicely for 15+ years. »

« Fresh, juicy, soft and polished, the wine is medium-bodied, supple and elegantly styled. The plums are fresh and the sweet cherries are even fresher. The licorice and espresso accents add to the fun. The finish, with its freshness and dark chocolate covered, lifted red fruits resonates. »

« From an estate located on the côtes, on the eastern plateau, this has a very dark, concentrated, mulberry-black hue. A smoky nose, the fruit here dark and pointed, very true to the eastern plateau style, combining ripeness and freshness. The palate confirms this, the fruit coming to the fore here, as is often the case with Pressac in a very rich, dark, coolly defined and sinewy style, all currants and iced black cherries, draped over a rich core of ripe tannins, with plenty of little toasted and tobacco nuances. The more I come back to it the more breadth and focused structure it shows, leading into a finish rich in sappy black fruits, liquorice, currant and a backdrop of ripe tannins. An impressive wine from this still under-rated estate. Well done. »

« Robe dense et brillante, à disque violine, un nez certes boisé mais avec une palette quasi orientale de musc, de sous bois, de confiture de cerise noire. Attaque et palais d’une grande suavité, tout en rondeur, touche orange amère confite, des tanins fins soulignant la fin de bouche. »

« Deep purple colour with violet hue and black core. Opulent nose with intense fruit, blackberries, sweet elderberries, ripe plums, hints of wild strawberries in the background. Distinct toasting aroma, dark chocolate and mild spices, vanilla in the background. On the palate well structured and balanced with sweet berries, mild spices, ripe tannins and elegant freshness, multi-layered finish. The best de Pressac ever tasted “en primeur”. »

« Ditches Purpurgranat mit rubinroten Reflexen. Ein konzentriertes Bouschen. Im zweiten Ansatz frischer Rosmarin, zerstossene weisse Pfefferkörner und Pflaumenmus. Am Fülligen Gaumen mit stützendem Tanningerüst, reifem Extrakt und perfekt unterlegter Rasse. Der Wein wirkt dadurch filigran und leichtfüssig. Im aromatischen Finale mit schwarzbeeriges Konturen und adler Trüffelnote. Hat alles wad ein grosser St.-Emilion benötigt und ist preislich immer noch ein echter Best-Buy! »

« Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Pressac bursts from the glass with bold black cherries, plum preserves and warm blueberry scents plus wafts of garrigue, tobacco and new leather. Medium-bodied, the palate is energetic and refreshing with bags of crunchy black fruit and a soft texture, finishing with lovely purity. »

« 74 % Merlot, 16 % Cabernet Franc, 7 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 2 % Carménère, 1 % Malbec. Bouquet élégant, subtile, regroupant des notes florales, fruitées et confites. Attaque friande et crémeuse. En bouche le vin a de la densité, de la crémosité et est doté de tannins puissants, aux grains fins. Belle expression aromatique, reflétant les notes de baies noires du bouquet mais également de la fraîcheur grâce à la vivacité de la structure. Finale fruitée, juteuse et persistante. 2022-2037. »
